Our organisation originally started in 1970 as the Waterside Workers’ of Australia Credit Union when a group of dedicated people from the maritime industry got together and decided to form a mutual financial institution for the benefit of all maritime workers and their families. On 1 March 2017, our name changed from Maritime, Mining and Power Credit Union to Unity Bank Ltd (refer to Our History).
We are a Values based, people focused organisation. ‘Our Values are built on the principles of cooperation, mutuality and unity of purpose, carrying forward the vision of our Founders. We always stand by our Members.’
