What is Open Banking

In 2018 the Australian Government passed a legislation called the Consumer Data Right (CDR). CDR is also referred to as Open Banking and gives Australians greater control over their data, providing customers and small businesses a choice about how their financial data is shared with third parties. Open Banking will encourage competition between service providers, leading to better prices for customers and more innovative products and services.

What this means for Unity Bank and Reliance Bank members

Unity Bank and Reliance Bank members can choose to share their member details, account information and transaction history for some accounts with an Accredited Data Recipient.

Please refer to our Consumer Data Right policies below for more information on how Unity Bank and Reliance Bank deal with your data under the CDR.
