Getting started


How do I log in to the app for the first time?

Simply head to the App Store or the Google Play Store and search for Unity Bank to download our Mobile App. If you are a first-time user, you will need to be registered for Online Banking before being able to use our Mobile App.  

You will need to know your Member Number and Online Banking Access Code to register on our Mobile App. 

You will then be prompted to set a PIN or pattern or continue using Member Number to log in. After this you can set biometrics depending on your device and preferences (Touch ID or Face ID). 

 

Where do I find my member number?

Your Member Number is also the number you use to login to Online Banking. You can find your Member Number on your Statement. 

If you are having trouble finding your Member Number, please contact us on 1300 36 2000. 

 

How do I register for Online Banking, so that I can use the app?

Register for Online Banking by calling us on 1300 36 2000 (8:00 am-7:00 pm, Monday to Friday) or visit one of our branches. 

 

Is there a fee for using the app?

No, the app is free to use and download, however, your standard mobile phone service and data charges will apply. 

 

Cards


If I have a new card, can I activate it through the app?

Yes, you can activate your new card by tapping Cards from the bottom of the screen.

 

What else can I do with my card in the app?

You can ‘Lock Card’ if you want to temporarily stop your card e.g. if you think you have misplaced it but do not want to stop it completely. You can then unlock it if you find it. 

You can stop your card if it is damaged, lost or stolen. You can then order a replacement card if you wish. 

 

Biometrics


Does the app support Biometrics (Face ID and Fingerprint)?

Our Mobile App supports both Face ID & Touch ID (Fingerprint). You will be prompted to enable biometrics when you first register to the app if your device supports this.  

We do not advise using this feature if someone else's biometrics are saved on your device as they will be able to access your banking information. 

You can still use a PIN, pattern, or use your Member Number and Access Code if you prefer. 

 

How can I disable biometrics login?

  1. Tap ‘More
  2. Tap ‘Settings & security 
  3. Tap ‘App security’ then select ‘Change login options’  
  4. Ensure the Face ID toggle is disabled 

 

PayID


How do I create a PayID for my Unity Bank account from the app?

Follow these few steps to create a PayID: 

  1. Tap 'Pay' at the bottom of the screen 
  2. Tap 'Manage PayIDs' 
  3. Tap 'Set up' then select ‘PayID from the 'Choose contact option' list
  4. Select the account you want to link
  5. Press 'Save' 
  6. Once you have set up your PayID, instead of sharing your BSB and account number, simply share your PayID and you will receive the money into your chosen account. 

 

Can I manage my PayID in the app?

Yes, you can manage an existing PayID by tapping ‘Pay’ at the bottom of the screen, then tap ‘Manage PayIDs

Can I change my address via the app?

Yes, you can update your address via the following steps.

  1. Tap 'More'
  2. Tap 'My Details'
  3. Tap 'Address details'
  4. Tap 'Send SMS code', you will receive a SMS One Time Password to your mobile device a code that you need to type in.
  5. Tap 'Continue'
  6. Enter your updated address details in relevant fields. NOTE: You can update Postal address as well if it's not the same by toggling the 'Same as postal address' button
  7. Tap 'Update details'
  8. Confirmation screen will appear.

 

Can I view my balance without logging in?

Yes, you can do this for one account via setting up 'Quick Balance'. This enables you to view the balance of your chosen account without logging in. 

  1. Tap 'Profile' at the bottom of the screen 
  2. Under Your finances, select 'Quick Balance
  3. Enable 'Quick Balance' option by tapping on it, then choose the preferred balance and select the account you would like to view
  4. Press 'Save'
  5. The next time you log in to the App, you will see your 'Quick Balance' on the home screen, without logging in.

Payments and transfers


How do I access payments/ transfer options?

You can access payments and transfer options by selecting 'Pay' at the bottom of the screen.

 

How do I make payment?

To make a payment, select 'Pay' at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively, you can make a payment by selecting your account from the home screen, then tapping 'Pay'.

You can choose to 'Transfer' (between accounts), 'Pay' someone, or make a 'BPAY' payment.

 

How do I check my balance and my latest transaction?

You can check your account balances and latest transaction by selecting the accounts you wish to view from the home screen.

 

Can I update my Online Banking access code in the App?

Yes, you can. If you are not yet logged in, you can select 'Forgot Password' and follow the prompts. If you are still having issues, please contact us on 1300 36 2000.

If you are already logged in, you can update your Access Code using the following steps.

  1. Tap 'More'
  2. Tap ‘Settings & security’ and then select ‘App security
  3. Tap ‘Change password
  4. You can then change your Online Banking Access Code

 

How do I pay someone using the Unity Bank app?

Simply open our Mobile App, tap Pay at the bottom of the screen. Then select Pay someone. 

 

Am I able to perform redraws within the app?

Yes, if you have redraw available you can perform this in our Mobile App.

 

General


Where can I find the interest I have earned so far?

You can find 'Current year' and 'Previous year' interest details using the following steps.

  1. On the home screen, tap the account you wish to know the details of.
  2. Tap the cog symbol above your account details.
  3. Tap 'View Interest Details' under Account settings.
  4. You can then view interest details for the current year and previous year.

You can also find the interest details via ‘Profile’ screen and then tapping ‘Interest details’ under Your account information.

 

How do I log out of the app?

You can log out of the app when you are on the home screen by tapping the Logout symbol in the top right-hand corner.

You can also log out of the app by tapping ‘Logout’ in the ‘More’ menu.

 

Where can I find my BSB and Account number in the App?

From the home screen

  1. Select the account you wish to know the details of.
  2. You can see the BSB and your Member Number from this page.
  3. To get your 9-digit account number tap the cog symbol above your Member Number details.

 

Where can I find my last login details?

You can find your last login details under ‘Profile’ at the bottom of the screen. 

 

Where do I find 2 to sign authorisations?

From the home screen

Tap 'More' and then select Pay > Authorisation requests

 

How do I change my preferred login method?

Yes, you can update your address via the following steps.

  1. Tap 'More'
  2. Tap 'Settings and security'
  3. Tap 'App security'
  4. Tap 'Change login options'
  5. You can then change your preferred login method.
